Hickey Oatley provided pre-purchase planning advice that supported the successful acquisition of 4 individual lots, creating a consolidated 2,000m2 development site.  

To unlock the site’s development potential, Hickey Oatley worked with the project team to implement a staged development strategy.  The first stage involved securing development approval for the removal of the existing pre-1947 Dwelling.  While approved for demolition, the Dwelling was thoughtfully relocated to Boonah where it has since been restored and given new life as a family home.    

Following approval for the Dwelling’s removal, Hickey Oatley prepared and managed a second development application for a mixed-use redevelopment of the site.  Despite being located within the “2 or 3 storey mix” precinct of the Low-medium density residential zone, approval was obtained for a 5 storey building   comprising 25 x residential units and 4 x ground-floor retail tenancies.
